I love math. Because 2 + 2 will always = 4. I can count on that (no pun intended!). I also love it when I can count on someone, don't you? Someone with integrity. So what's the mathematical formula for integrity?
Inside = Outside
-
Are you telling people how to grow but aren't growing yourself?
-
Do you treat your support staff like you treat the highly influential person?
- Do you show up when you said you'd show up?
- Are you preaching wholeness but live a divided existence?
- Do you treat your family at least as well as you treat your audiences?
- Is your private life as well as what you put on Twitter or Facebook updates?
"You're hopeless, you religion scholars and Pharisees! Frauds! You're like manicured grave plots, grass clipped and the flowers bright, but six feet down it's all rotting bones and worm-eaten flesh. People look at you and think you're saints, but beneath the skin you're total frauds." (Matthew 23.27 MSG)
What are your thoughts on the topic of integrity?
Ouch!

I agree 100% with this. Integrity isn't something I teach you with words, it is something I teach you by my actions. I can tell you about integrity and maybe you'll think it is a good idea. Then I can show you integrity and you will be challenged to really walk it out yourself.

Tony - right. What's on the outside may look good but only over time will we know, by actions, if the integrity truly resides on the inside. And I believe you can learn a lot about someone's integrity when things are going haywire. Everyone can look good when it's all falling into place.
