This is part 2 of a four-part series. If you haven't read Part 1, I urge you to do so. It includes a brief backdrop).
Throughout my recent Season of Frenzy, I did some growing up. With the assistance of the 4 measures (outlined in Part 1 of this series) I discovered...
HOW I GREW PERSONALLY
1) I was more relaxed than I ever would have been trying to navigate the Season on my own.
2) I was less prone to flying off the handle when facing perplexing requests or actions taken by others.
3) I developed a healthy respect for the devastating impact of depression and how quickly it can sneak up on me.
4) I developed more routines with more meaning.
5) I was more bold and purposeful in my conversations with key individuals.
6) I gained more clarity of purpose in my work.
7) I discovered more dependence on strength coming from God rather than from reading, study, practice. I came to the end of myself. I learned the value of IMPARTED strength in addition to DEVELOPED strength.
8) I learned to comply surrender more frequently instead of after a long period of kicking and screaming in my own strength.
9) I realized that the priority tasks are always less in number than the trivial mass.
10) I learned how to use more block time for greater results.
I sure have a lot more growth to experience. These were just a few of the things I learned. Part 3 is entitled, "THINGS I'VE NOTICED". Stay tuned...
What are you learning about yourself in these days?
“Whoever has no rule over his own spirit is like a city broken down, without walls.”
Proverbs 25:28
I think this has been one of my greatest lessons in the Faith and it touches everyone of your points in your post. Self-control keeps the frenzy away!
Awesome thoughts, thanks for sharing!

You mean besides getting older and finding out I can't keep the same cycling pace I used to? :) I am learning that I am in serious need of focusing and not being so divided in my attention (no I am not ADHD). I also need to do some honing on my leadership.

Jay - GREAT verse to add to the conversation. What a word picture it is to be a "city broken down without walls." Thanks for your contribution.
