You have vices. I have vices.
All God’ children have vices.
Vice: “An evil, degrading, or immoral practice or habit.”
Vices come in all shapes and sizes. Some involve food. Some are found at race tracks or casinos. Others hang out online. These are barriers to what you are trying to accomplish (or better said, what God is trying to do in and through you.)
President: “One appointed or elected to preside over…”
Presidents have power. S/He signs and a piece of paper and it becomes the law of the land. S/He issues an executive order which bypasses congressional approval, setting policy while avoiding debate and opposition.
Think of yourself as president when it comes to your vices. You have a lot more control over them than you think. It all starts with an attitude - the right attitude. An attitude that says, “Through Christ I can do all things.” Then get out there, search for resources, surround yourself with wise relationships, and start overcoming what is keeping you from real, lasting personal growth. You can do it.
YOU can become your own Vice President.
