You listen as others struggle with the death of a loved one. You counsel the depressed. You preach to people who have not yet seen God's light for themselves. You are a first responder to a tragic accident. You are a friend to a lonely widow. You hold the hand of one who has just learned they have breast cancer...
When you are out there giving of yourself to help others you are burning energy. This energy doesn't replenish automatically on its own. Energy regeneration requires intentional effort on your part. It's a bit like plugging a hand held device into the source of energy to sync files and recharge batteries.
What is your normal time to sync and recharge? When do you pull away from the ministry as an investment in future work? Jesus did this. Follow his lead. And remember, we don't rest from our work. We work from our rest.
People who have a systematic "sync in progress" to their rhythm Serve Strong!
The ball's in YOUR court: How do you sync and recharge? Share your thoughts...
