Where I live we will enjoy 2 full moons in December. Last night I noticed how bright the night was. I thought I'd left our outside Christmas lights on, it was that bright.

But the moon has no energy source to shine it's own light. All it does is reflect the energy of the sun. That's how we are to serve too. When we try to serve in our own strength we will be disappointed. We will burnout. But when we reflect the light God provides we will be doing what we were meant to do.

Oh, and one more thought: When the sun rises in the morning, the moon kind of fades into the background. When God shows up, don't take the credit. Seek to give HIM glory for what He's doing THROUGH you!
