Odd News for August 27, 2009:
HENDERSON, Ky. (AP) - It wasn't a very sweet ending for a guy drinking hot chocolate behind the wheel. Police report Brent Churchill's Toyota Solara convertible ended up in the Ohio River. He was trying to make a U-turn on a boat ramp in Henderson, Ky. Officers say Churchill spilled the hot chocolate into his lap and lost control of the car. The Evansville Courier and Press reports the convertible top was down. Churchill was unhurt and climbed out as the Toyota floated down river. The sunken car was later found and towed out of the water.
Every try to do too many things at once? I have. I'm not saying multi-tasking is all bad. There is a measure of progress, for example, in training for a 1/2 marathon with your son - which means I'm taking care of my physical fitness and at the same time spending quality time as a father.
But there are times when multi-tasking actually distracts and keeps us from focusing. Identify what those times are for you and try to avoid them.
