Three things about most interpersonal conflict:
- It can be managed.
- It starts quite simply between two people.
- It involves a misunderstanding.
If this is true there is one thing that stands head & shoulders above any other conflict management technique: Go to the person one on one and work it out together.
Instead of sitting in your office stewing over what they said, GO TO THEM PERSONALLY
Instead of rehearsing a long line of thoughts that they might be out to get you, GO TO THEM PERSONALLY
Instead of talking about it to someone else, GO TO THEM PERSONALLY
Instead of letting it stress out your whole day, GO TO THEM PERSONALLY
Going to the person with the misunderstanding in most cases is the quickest way to resolve the matter and get back to living. Learn to go to the other person as a new personal habit and you'll be Serving Strong!
