I recently read an article indicating that 53 percent of working Americans have been interrupted by a work-related phone call or email while in the bathroom. This was revealed from a survey commissioned by Nokia. The survey also showed office-related crept into other areas of Americans' lives as well.
With all that being said, 75 percent of working Americans say technology plays a primary role in helping them balance work and life.
People are saying technological tools are allowing for more choices in when and where to do our work. But that makes it difficult to know when and where to shut out work. I suppose this will always be a matter of debate. The question for us is
What boundaries will we establish to ensure life balance?
Know when to say "enough". Otherwise, your work of helping people may just take over every area of your life (including the bathroom!). Set your boundaries and you'll be Serving Strong!
