The Television.
Scott Hughes considers it possibly the "worst addiction in society" because it engulfs so many people so much of the time. Hours and hours of time are wasted while we sit idly in front of the TV as our minds stew aimlessly and our bodies increasingly get weak and fat. I agree (although I'm talking to myself here as much as to you, since I've been known to waste a few hours here and there watching mindless drivel :))
So, what is YOUR television viewing habit? How much time do YOU spend watching? Perhaps there's an acceptable amount of TV for the TV to briefly "escape" from the pressures of people helping. But just imagine how much more time we can devote to the other areas of our life if we get up, turn it off, and walk out of the TV room (quality time with our spouse, time with kids, yard work, calling a good friend, encouraging a neighbor, studying God's Word, reading a book on our particular calling, exercising....)?
Regulate the amount of TV time for maximum impact and you'll be Serving Strong!
